Frederick Kanyike – CEO
Fred joined GSX Group as CEO for Juno and has 20 years’ Finance and Accounting experience across various industries, in a variety of areas. Born in Uganda, Fred started his working experience as a Tax Accountant for the oil and gas industry company, Total (Uganda) Limited. He moved to the UK and while there, worked with a cross section of companies including an NGO charity providing affordable housing to the under-privileged. Fred also worked within the Information Consultancy industry before moving to the Channel Islands of Guernsey in 2006.
In 2006 he joined a Fund Manager dealing with Mezzanine buyout, real estate and equity buyout funds before moving onto RBC (Guernsey) Limited as Head of Accounting for the business’ Fiduciary arm. In 2010, he joined a Private Equity house in EQT based in Guernsey before moving to Credit Suisse (Guernsey) Limited as Head of Central Functions and Accounts for the Fiduciary business for 7 years, leaving to join State Street (Guernsey) Limited as Head of Client Service Management before relocating to Gibraltar.
Fred is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants. He has a Bachelors Honours degree in Commerce (Accounting major) and an MBA from University of Manchester.
Adrian Hogg – Director
Adrian is a specialist in investment business with over 20 years’ experience involving various investment business structures in Europe and the Caribbean. Formerly of KPMG, a Hong Kong bank and trust company and a partner of Grant Thornton Gibraltar for 10 years, Adrian is one of the founders of Juno Fund Services Limited and Juno Fiduciary Services Limited. Adrian has overseen the administration and establishment of funds from the Cayman Islands, BVI, Gibraltar and Malta including conventional ‘traditional’ trading funds, ‘alternative’ funds and ‘crypto’ funds. Adrian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (‘ICAEW’) and is the former Chairman of the Gibraltar Funds and Investments Association and former member of the Gibraltar Finance Centre Council.
Malcolm Ruffell – Director
Malcolm has almost 40 years’ experience in Financial Services, having worked in both funds and Insurance. Prior to joining Juno he was Founder and CEO of Vista Fund Services Limited. He is a qualified accountant and worked for Commercial Union between 1981 and 1999, before joining an internet start-up insurance broker in 2000. Subsequently he ran his own consultancy where clients included RSA, L&G and Saga. He has worked in Gibraltar since 2004 and is authorised by the GFSC as an EIF Director.
Carol Ruffell – Director
Carol is a compliance and business professional with a career spanning over 30 years in the funds industry. From her early career with Aviva from 1987, she ultimately headed up the funds compliance function of the combined Norwich Union and CU/General Accident retail fund / PEP and ISA administration and played a key role in the compliance integration projects of both mergers. She was then approached to join Cofunds, the fund supermarket platform as Head of Compliance prior to their launch in early 2001. Reporting directly to the CEO, she had sole responsibility for the establishment and operation of the firm’s compliance arrangements, holding the FSA control functions for Compliance and MLRO. A move to Gibraltar in 2004 saw her as the Managing Director of a successful owner managed fund administration business, Vista Fund Services Limited, which she ran until early 2018, when the company business was acquired by the Juno Group. Her expertise lies in the establishment and alignment of regulatory policy and controls with practical operational procedures. This involves a detailed and pragmatic understanding of governance, senior management accountability and systems and controls. She is fully familiar with all aspects of the conduct of business regulatory compliance arrangements for the funds industry. She is a graduate in Law from Warwick university.
Victoria Perez – Compliance Officer and MLRO
Victoria is the Compliance Office and MLRO for Juno. She graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a degree in Biochemistry. Following relationship management roles in Corporate and Institutional Banking with both RBS and AIB she joined the Project Finance Team of Dexia where she was responsible for the management and administration of the UK portfolio of mainly PFI / PPP projects. After 5 years with Dexia, Victoria relocated to Gibraltar where she was a Manager in the Offshore Corporate Team of Barclays Bank until joining Quest Insurance Management in 2005. She moved on to Vista Fund Services in 2007 where she undertook a number of operational roles before becoming Compliance Manager. She joined Juno in 2018 following the acquisition of Vista Fund Services Limited. Victoria is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland.
